The Future of Personal Computing

The notion in the 1960’s that there would only ever need to be a few computers in existence, as we now know, is ridiculous! PC’s are used practically by most organisations and millions of private individuals across the Globe. In fact the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, Gartner, suggests that in the last quarter of 2010 alone, that some 93.5 million units were sold.

The growth of the market is set to continue especially with development and onset of new markets and new, smaller computers that perform different functions.
