FAQs

How do I choose which PC to buy?

You need to understand what you want to use the computer for. For example, will it be used at home & general purposes? Will you only need it for browsing, surfing the Internet and email? Does it need to be portable? If so, how mobile in terms of weight and battery life will it need?

Which Processor will I need?

Again, this will be determined by the kind of applications and work you’ll be using it for. Within reason, try and get the fastest or most powerful processor within your budget range.

Why are Netbooks sometimes competitively priced?

Quite often this can be a reflection upon the build quality and overall specification. Remember that Netbooks are fine for browsing the Internet and email purposes but anything more may be an issue.

Should I consider buying a Netbook?

Consider what you’ll be using it for. Internet browsing and email is fine but bear in mind that it may be limited not only by processor and memory but also that it won’t have a DVD player.  Sometimes paying more might be better strategy in the long run.
