Why Data Archiving?

Some of the reasons required for data or content archiving are listed below:

The main reasons for implementing a data or content archiving system, is to comply with the following legislation or codes of conduct:

  • Sarbanes Oxley
  • SEC rules 17a-4
  • HIPPA
  • European Union 8th Directive

These generally require a business to retain key business information. Failure to comply can result in large fines or sanctions.
