USB drive.

A USB drive is a small storage device that can store relatively large amounts of information. USB drives can be used on most PCs and as a result can be used to store and retrieve information from one PC to another. The fact that they are so small and light also makes them extremely portable. USB are also known as ‘memory sticks’ and because they have no moving parts are extremely durable.

Flash memory.

Flash memory is a solid state small hard drive i.e. it does not have any moving parts. Furthermore, flash memory can store considerable amounts of information while still being extremely light and mobile. Most digital cameras use this type of memory because it is so compact and able to hold large volumes of data.
